The research and development activity of dr. Cavinato has concerned the chemical and process engineering for organic waste energy recovery and wastewater treatment since her bachelor degree in “Industrial Biotechnology” (2005, University of Padua). After the MSc degree in “Environmental Chemical Engineering: management and industrial treatments of wastewaters” (2006) dr. Cavinato worked two years as Contract Researcher at the University of Verona. In 2008 she started the PhD course in Environmental Sciences at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice on the optimization of a two-phase anaerobic process for hydrogen and methane production treating the organic fraction of municipal solid waste. During these years she was involved in International and National project such as: FP6 ("CROPGEN"), FP7 ("VALORGAS" and "ROUTES"), H2020 ("RES URBIS") collaborative projects, EUALGAE COST Action, Projects of Relevant National Interest (2 in PRIN 2007, and PRIN 2012), research project funded by Regional Governments (RIDUCAREFLUI and BIOFITO funded by the Veneto Region), and SARR project within Regional Cluster (RIR 2018). Since 2011 she is Assistant Professor within the Scientific Sector ING/IND-25 at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice, Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics. She is member of the International Water Association, AIDIC (Italian Association of Chemical Engineering), GRICU (Gruppo di ingegneria chimica dell'Università) and AISAM (Associazione Italiana per lo Studio e APplicazione delle Microalghe) and regular reviewer for several international scientific journals with IF and external reviewer for international projects. She took part in private-funded research and development projects, which involved public-owned water utilities and industries. In 2006 she was involved in the organization of the first Mediterranean Congress on Environmental Engineering held in Venice, and in 2014 she was member of the organizing committee of the EcoSTP, 2nd IWA specialized conference on “Eco Technologies for sewage treatment plants”. Dr. Cavinato is author and co-author of 41 paper published in international journal with impact factor and more than 50 conference paper (H-index 17, may 2019).
