Following the online appointment of 2020, the 10th edition of Art Night Venezia has been scheduled for 2 October 2021, a date chosen to match the famous Nuit Blanche in Paris.

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the Municipality of Venice have decided to schedule the 10th anniversary of the celebrated Venetian event in autumn, in order to mirror the other European white nights and to highlight the relationship between Art Night Venezia and the Parisian white night. Autumn has also been chosen with the hope that the health situation will be more favourable. Moreover, Art Night is included in the official programme of the celebrations for Venice's 1600th birthday

Starting on Saturday 2 October 2021 at 6 p.m., when Ca’ Foscari’s gates will be opened, Venice will come back to life thanks to the artistic and cultural activities organised by the event’s partners – cultural institutions, museums, galleries, associations, bookshops, theatres. The university and the Municipality are considering the possibility of organising the regular outdoor event Le petit déjeuner en blu in June 2021, if the health situation allows.

As always the website and social media channels will be reporting all updates live

ART NIGHT is the long Venetian white night which was inaugurated in 2011. In 2013 it was included in the official calendar of the European Art Nights, led by the Nuit Blanche in Paris. Art Night involves public and private cultural institutions which organise hundreds of pro bono events: museums, galleries and buildings stay open until the early hours of the morning; visitors can view or participate in theatre performances, readings, concerts, exhibitions and laboratories. Art Night is an event marathon in which hundreds of events light up the streets of Venice and offer visitors an unparalleled opportunity to enjoy Venice’s artistic heritage under a starry sky.

Every edition has involved, on average, more than 100 locations and every year the programme has offered about 140 events for a public of about 50.000 people. Over the years some 500 Ca’ Foscari students have collaborated in various ways to the realisation of teaching laboratories, guided tours, performances, and so on.

Since 2011, Art Night has hosted, among others, Anita Sieff, Gianrico Carofiglio, Tiziano Scarpa, Alberto Toso Fei, Marco Nereo Rotelli, Ottavia Piccolo, Marlene Kuntz, Masbedo, Nico Vascellari, Carlos Casas, Francesca Montinaro, Teresa Mannino, Gli Impresari, Sissi, Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, AES+F, Matthieu Mantanus and Ludovica Rambelli Teatro. Since 2016 Venice Art Night has added the “Colazione in Blu” (Blue Breakfast) event, in collaboration with Maliparmi.
