Following Italian Decree Law No. 111 of 6 August 2021, I would like to update you on the upcoming teaching activities. As already announced, as of next September (more specifically, as of Monday 6 for the language areas, and Monday 13 for all other areas), Ca' Foscari will resume in-person teaching activities. Lectures and workshops will take place in our classrooms, welcoming as many people as possible.
Until 31 December, i.e., for the entire duration of the state of health emergency, those who are not able to attend lessons in person will be able to attend lessons via live streaming. As already announced in the previous Segnalibro, specific categories of students – as explained on the Student Support Services page – will be provided with personalised services for the entire duration of their studies, in order to promote inclusion and the broadening of the student base even beyond the emergency phase.
In addition to wearing a mask, access to classrooms and libraries requires a valid COVID-19 ‘Green Pass’ certificate. As per ministerial instructions, the University will carry out random checks to verify possession of the COVID-19 Green Pass. Please check the website of the Italian Ministry of Health for information on how to obtain a Green Pass.
I would like to remind those who have not yet been vaccinated of the wide availability of direct access to the vaccine in the Veneto Local Health and Social Care Facilities (Unità Locali Socio Sanitarie, ULSS) for all young people under the age of 25. ULSS 3 has also provided for a number of days dedicated to students attending Venetian universities (namely 30 August and 6, 7, and 13 September). All information is available on the ULSS 3 website[ITA].
I would also like to remind you that, as of next week (23 August), exams will once again be held in person, in compliance with safety regulations such as distancing, use of masks and, as of 1 September, possession of a green pass. Read the FAQs for further information and instructions on the resumption of teaching activities.
I am sure we all wish to return to a full university experience, as we have always known it, and with everyone’s help it will certainly be possible. In order to do so, we need to make every effort to comply with (and enforce) safety regulations, so as to protect everyone's health. I would like to thank the whole Ca’ Foscari community for proving, once again, their contribution and commitment to the cause.
We look forward to seeing you!
