Overview

The Master’s Degree Programme in Philosophical Sciences offers students advanced knowledge in examining key philosophical and epistemological questions inherited from tradition and explored through contemporary debate.

This specialisation provides the cultural preparation needed for teaching, research, and the communication (in Italian or English) of knowledge and scientific understanding. It also enables students to develop a systematic understanding of the theoretical foundations and various aspects of the key challenges of our time — including ethical, political, scientific, artistic, educational, and formative issues.

The programme’s richness is reflected in its two curricula:

  • Philosophy, which allows students to deepen their knowledge in theoretical, ethical-political, aesthetic and historical-philosophical areas;
  • Human and Educational Sciences, which focuses on teaching, adult education and training within organisations and social contexts.

Opinions

Giulio Azzolini

Programme coordinator

“The Master’s Degree Programme in Philosophical Studies provides advanced training in critically exploring theoretical, ethical, political, and epistemological issues within both traditional and contemporary thought. With two study tracks – Philosophy and Human and Educational Sciences – it prepares students for careers in research, teaching, and high-level cultural and professional positions. The programme enhances analytical, argumentative, and conceptual skills, promoting dialogue between philosophy, the humanities, and society. A course designed to help you understand the present and actively shape the future.”
