Overview

The Master’s Degree Programme in History of Arts and Conservation of Artistic Heritage offers a comprehensive pathway for understanding, promoting and communicating artistic heritage from the Middle Ages to the contemporary age.
It provides advanced training in the fields of art-historical disciplines and creative processes, guiding students on a journey through the languages, techniques and transformations of art over time.
Teaching adopts a seminar-style approach with ongoing dialogue to help students develop critical thinking and deepen their understanding from undergraduate studies. Specialist courses range from the history of the visual arts to related fields, opening up interdisciplinary perspectives and encouraging independent research.
The programme collaborates with museums, organisations and major cultural institutions, offering the opportunity to undertake internships that provide direct experience in the areas of conservation, curatorship and the promotion of artistic heritage.
At a time when the protection and promotion of art increasingly engage different sectors of society and the economy, this Master’s Degree prepares students to gain a deep understanding of artistic phenomena and to contribute actively to their preservation and enhancement.
