Presentation
Overview
The Master’s Degree Programme in Trans-Mediterranean Studies: Migration, Cooperation and Development (TRANS-MED) provides a comprehensive understanding of the countries along the southern Mediterranean shore, and their interactions with contemporary Europe.
The programme tracks and reacts to changes in the geopolitical landscape to develop a new generation of Mediterranean experts. These specialists are trained to mediate among content, practices, and ideas, and to establish connections among academic and non-academic stakeholders, such as national and international political bodies, economic players, journalists, and NGOs. During your studies, you will develop a critical understanding of issues relating to the Mediterranean region and train as a specialist in communication, cooperation, intercultural mediation and socio-political analysis.
We offer a unique educational opportunity in which linguistic knowledge enhances interdisciplinary competences in migration studies and in the political, economic and cultural relations of the Mediterranean region, as well as skills in qualitative research and data analysis.
