Overview

The Master’s Degree Programme in European, American and Postcolonial Languages and Literatures is one of the most well-established and appealing courses offered by our University. You will acquire advanced knowledge and skills in a specific language, literature and culture from among those spoken in Western countries and the postcolonial world.

The programme emphasises humanities and literature, promoting dialogue between cultures and disciplines, with a particular focus on intercultural perspectives and multi- and interdisciplinary approaches. The curricula are enhanced by numerous conferences, seminars, workshops, and other activities organised by the programme’s faculty.

You can choose from seven curricula:

  • English Studies
  • American StudiesGerman Studies
  • Iberian and Ibero-American Studies
  • French Studies
  • Scandinavian Studies
  • Slavic and Balkan Studies

The languages taught include: Albanian, Anglo-American and English, Catalan, French, Modern Greek, Polish, Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish and Latin American Spanish, Swedish, and German.

You can apply to spend part of your curriculum abroad by participating in international programmes organised in collaboration with one or more partner universities and leading to a Double Degree or a Joint Degree.
