Ca’ Foscari within the Italian context

Ca’ Foscari’s international outlook is especially evident when compared to data from other Italian universities:

  • Mobility: Ca’ Foscari ranks second among universities in Italy for the number of students undertaking an international experience during their studies. This result aligns with the findings of the latest AlmaLaurea report, which highlights the high number of Ca’ Foscari students — more than double the national average — who spend periods abroad, thanks to the wide range of agreements and programmes available. The University also performs exceptionally well in welcoming students from around the world: it ranks 4th in Italy for the number of inbound mobility students it receives each year and 10th for the diversity of its international student body. This indicator considers both the ratio of international students to total enrolments and the range of countries they come from.

  • Teaching: Ca’ Foscari ranks 5th among Italian universities for the international faculty ratio, an indicator of its ability to attract academic staff from abroad, and 10th for its favourable staff-to-student ratio, reflecting a concrete investment in resources to enhance the learning experience.

  • Sustainability: Ca’ Foscari remains firmly in the national Top 10 for its commitment to environmental and social sustainability initiatives.
