Overview

The Master’s Degree Programme in Italian Philology, Linguistics, and Literature builds on the undergraduate foundation by enhancing and broadening students' writing and speaking abilities and expanding career options. Besides offering a strong base for academic research, the programme includes courses focused on teaching and journalism.

You will gain valuable soft skills through various unique aspects of the programme:

  • the seminar-based approach to teaching offers you the opportunity to present your research in class and discuss it with your peers. This encourages debate and exchange, while also improving your presentation and engagement skills — qualities that are especially valuable in many professions, particularly teaching.
  • the enhancement of both fundamental and specialised knowledge in the fields of literature, linguistics, and philology;
  • the broadening of your horizons through the study of foreign literatures, which form an integral part of teaching literary subjects in schools and provide essential context for a deeper understanding of Italian literature.
