Overview

Ca' Foscari's Master's Degree in Science and Technology of Bio and Nanomaterials is a multidisciplinary programme that combines biology, chemistry, physics, and materials science to explore scientific questions in innovative ways.
Students from different bachelor's degree programmes can enhance their initial preparation in certain disciplines through online self-study courses offered during the academic year, which can be taken at their most convenient times and days. 
The internship and thesis are periods of intense personal commitment, during which you will directly engage with research topics related to the programme, as well as aligned with your interests.
You can choose to undertake this experience in the department's research laboratories or at external facilities, such as national or international laboratories, research institutions, or companies.

You can apply to spend part of your curriculum abroad by participating in international programmes organised in collaboration with one or more partner universities and leading to a Double Degree or a Joint Degree.

After graduation

you will be able to work as a specialist in Materials Science and Technology, Nano, and Biotechnology within companies involved in the production, processing, marketing, and development of materials. Opportunities also include management roles across sectors from pharmaceuticals to innovative materials and fine chemicals, both in multinational and local settings

you will be able to work in both public and private research and development laboratories involved in the study, certification, and innovation of materials. You will also be able to contribute to the development of new technologies and applications, including by joining innovative spin-offs or high-tech start-ups

you might choose to pursue a PhD in Italy or abroad. This route will enable you to delve into advanced topics in materials science and nanotechnology, opening opportunities for careers in academic research or prestigious scientific institutions
