Looking to balance university with other commitments? Ca’ Foscari simplifies the process of applying for part-time student status

Would you like to attend university but cannot commit to full-time study? Ca’ Foscari has made important changes to its regulations to make it even easier for students with limited time who need to balance their studies with other responsibilities: you can now apply for part-time student status simply by completing an online form – with no requirement to submit supporting documents.

You will still have the same benefits as before, including the option to complete your degree at twice the normal duration, reduced tuition fees, and access to additional study support services – plus, applying for part-time status is now more flexible.

CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS
By applying for part-time status, you commit to maintaining this status for a two-year period and to earning a maximum of 72 ECTS credits over the two academic years.
If you exceed 72 ECTS in the two-year period, you will lose your part-time status and be required to pay the full tuition fees that were waived under the reduced contribution scheme. In addition, both years of part-time enrolment will be reclassified as full-time, including for the purposes of calculating eligibility for scholarships and tuition fee reductions.

You may opt to switch to full-time status after the first year. In that case, the first year will also count as full-time, and you will need to pay the standard tuition fees.

Part-time students automatically gain access to additional study support services designed to assist those on a more flexible academic path. These include dedicated and personalised teaching materials such as video lectures, short videos, or specially created multimedia resources, as well as specific tutoring services.
