Overview

This interuniversity Bachelor’s Degree Programme focuses on ancient civilisations in the regions of the eastern and western Mediterranean, the Middle East, and South and East Asia, combining socio-anthropological analysis, the study of sources, and linguistic and philological skills.
Courses offer a strong and essential preparation for understanding the influence of past civilisations on the modern world and in shaping an inclusive, vibrant, and conscious society. Teaching promotes cultural exchange by emphasising both connections and differences among the studied civilisations through an open and interdisciplinary approach.
Classes are conducted entirely in English and delivered in a blended format: in-person at the Venice and Milan campuses, with live streaming available to classrooms equipped for remote access, where tutors are also present on site. This approach promotes integration between the two universities and provides flexible, interactive teaching.

The coordinator of the teaching committee is Prof. Michele Bellomo of the University of Milan, and Bishara Ebeid is the programme coordinator at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
