Dear prospective scholars,

In pursuit of continuing the success of past terms, we are delighted to announce the launch of our 2026 Online Persian Summer School.

The Ghand-e Parsi 2026 Summer School is a seasonal program designed to offer a rich, structured, and immersive experience of the Persian language and Persianate culture to students from all backgrounds. With carefully designed courses at the elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels, the Summer School provides a comprehensive learning pathway to build foundational communication skills for deep engagement with historical, literary, artistic, and mystical Persian texts.

In addition to the core language levels, the program includes a diverse selection of new courses that open interdisciplinary perspectives. The Summer School brings together language learning, cultural exploration, and scholarly expertise in a unique and intellectually enriching environment.

All course sessions are fully recorded, allowing participants to review materials and watch sessions outside of live class hours.

I am sharing ASPIRANTUM’s 2026 Persian Language Summer School in Yerevan and would appreciate it if you could circulate this opportunity among your students and networks.

The program offers 6–10 weeks (120–200 hours) of intensive Modern Persian. Instruction is available at upper elementary and intermediate levels, focusing strongly on all core language skills in small groups.

We already have 20 confirmed participants across our Armenian, Russian, and Persian summer schools, and places are now limited. This final call is to remind prospective applicants of this opportunity.

The program also includes cultural excursions and activities across Armenia.

Application deadline: May 1, 2026

I wanted to inform you that the applications for the Introduction to Pahlavi: Online Spring School of Zoroastrian Middle Persian (2026) close on April 10, i.e. in one day.

If you have been thinking about gaining the foundations of the Zoroastrian Middle Persian, get a solid knowledge in its grammar, lexicon, script (inscriptional), and scholarly literature, I think you will enjoy this course.

This are the texts from which we will be reading during the course:

  • Sasanian Royal Inscriptions (ANRm, ŠH, NVŠ, ŠVŠ, etc)
  • Kārnāmag ī Ardaxšēr ī Pābagān (The Book of Deeds of Ardashir son of Pabag)
  • Wizārišn ī Čatrang ud Nihišn ī Nēw Ardaxšēr (The Explanation of Chess and the Invention of Backgammon)
  • Ardā-Wīrāz-nāmag (The Book of the Righteous Wiraz)

As well as other texts (such as the Bundahišn), if time allows us.

If you are not sure of being able to attend all the classes, I have to mention that all the classes will be recorded and available for you to catch up.

The course will be followed (later this summer) by an advanced continuation of the course, where we will learn how to read the book Pahlavi script (you can check the page of the previous course here).

You can read testimonials by other students here.

Wishing you all the best,

Ruben Nikoghosyan
