Booking with EasyPlannig or MyUnive app
From 19 July 2021 to access the libraries and their services you must make a reservation through EasyPlanning or MyUnive app.
Ca' Cappello library: possible inconvenience due to building's wiring work
From 12 July to 6 August 2021, Ca' Cappello library will be partially inaccessible due to the building's wiring work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to library's users from 19 July until the end of the month.
Palazzo Cosulich library: temporary closure
Starting from 10 June 2021, for about 2 months, the library of European and Postcolonial Studies of Palazzo Cosulich will be closed due to maintenance works.
At CFZ library there will be a service point to allow users to consult or borrow books and journals.
Pay attention: the ENGLISH, COMMONW and GERMAN sections (with the exception of the textbooks) will be not accessible.
You must make a reservation, at least 18 hours in advance, for the consultation and loan services through EasyPlanning or MyUnive app selecting the entry BALI Palazzo Cosulich - Prestito e consultazione presso CFZ. It is possible to book 1-hour slots up to the whole opening hours.
The Languages and Cultures Library (BALI) is composed of 5 decentralized branches (American, Iberic and Slavic Studies, Language Sciences, Eurasian Studies, European and Postcolonial Studies, East Asian Studies).
The total assets include around 287,000 volumes, with numerous special book collections.

All BALI libraries will be closed from 2 to 14 August.
BALI provides its services only on reservation, in order to guarantee the safety of people. Users must have adequate protection and present their university badge for identification purposes. No replacement badges will be provided.
University members (research users and students) must make a reservation to access the libraries and their services through EasyPlanning or MyUnive app using the university login credentials.
Also specific categories of non-university members can access libraries and services according to the procedures described on the Access general rules page.
To collect the books without stopping in the library you must make a reservation within the day before. Bibliographic data must be entered in the reservation. You must fill the bibliographical data fields verifying title, author and shelmark of the books and checking their availability in cerCa’.
To make a reservation use EasyPlanning or MyUnive app and select the entry BALI [library] - Ritiro di volumi in prestito (choose the library that holds the book).
The required books will be available at the loan desk.
There is no need to book the loan service if you have already booked for consultation: during your slot you can also request the loan.
Volumes kept in repositories (collocazioni VT_BALI…), which are currently closed, are excluded from the loan service.
The consultation service is available for all university members (research users and students) subject to reservation. The service will be provided with repeatable 2 hour slots for all opening hours, by booking via EasyPlanning or MyUnive app and selecting BALI [library] - Consultazione in sede (choose the library that holds the book).
A maximum of 143 people can enter the rooms simultaneously.
During the consultation service users can borrow books.
Inclusive BALI and CFZ - welcoming students with disabilities
Starting from 28 June 2021 it will be possible to consult and/or borrow texts of the BALI collections at CFZ.
The request for consultation and/or loan must be sent to the reference BALI library by mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. To make a reservation use EasyPlanning or MyUnive app or ask to the staff. The texts booking must be made 24 hours in advance.
In the CFZ main room there will be five seats reserved for students with disabilities.
Warning! The "accompaniment" service, if necessary, will not be managed by the library, but must be requested by the student at the Disability Office through the Reserved Area.
During the consultation service, copy machines will be available for photocopies.
Books can be returned in the areas provided at the libraries entrance during the opening hours.
Online booking is not required.
If you have received an automatic return message, but you cannot go to the library, you can request an extension of the loan by writing to email@example.com.
Returned books are subject to a 3-day quarantine.
Interlibrary loan and document supply
The interlibrary loan and document supply services are available and can be requested by online form.
To collect articles or books university members have to make a reservation via the Affluences website or the Affluences app by clicking on Prenota (book) and selecting the ILL-DD icon.

- help desk: from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm, the staff will respond in real time to user requests sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
- bibliographic reference and assistance with electronic resources by writing to email@example.com. For more information for final year undergraduates and PhD students write to firstname.lastname@example.org
- reference and bibliographic searches by filling in the special online form online form [ITA]
- self-learning tutorials for users Preparing your thesis [ITA] and Bibliographic search tools and resources [ITA] available on the Moodle platform (without access key) following the path: Studenti lauree e lauree magistrali > Biblioteche di Ateneo > BALI - Biblioteca di Area Linguistica
All the library electronic resources - ebooks, articles, electronic journals, theses and much more - can be consulted from home following the instructions at Remote access to electronic resources.
China Academic Journals
The new version of CAJ Full-text Database is online. CAJ is the largest database of academic journals published in China and in addition you can now search more than 57,000 periodicals in English. Please pay attention: to download the articles, that are part of the collections subscribed by Ca 'Foscari, click onin the upper right corner of the page.
