Procedures and deadlines for enrolment

  • 17th of December 2020 for master’s degree programmes.

Note: the application for regional scholarship and other incentives must be submitted through your Personal Area on www.unive.it within 30th of September 2020.
More information on the call for regional scholarship and other incentives, available on this webpage.

Enrolment under condition

Since educational activities at Ca’ Foscari will also be accessible online during the first semester of 2020/2021 academic year, applicants should keep in mind that enrolment procedures at Ca’ Foscari can be started even if they are still waiting for their visa, after having paid the first instalment of the tuition fees. Applicants should be reminded that they must in any case already hold all requested pre-requisites and documents.

If an applicant is still waiting for his/her visa, the enrolment will be finalised under condition.
Applicants enrolled under condition will be able to follow online classes and take exams until the end of the first semester (beginning of February 2021).
At the end of the first semester the Counseling and Welcome Unit will verify the issuance of the visa:

  • if the visa has been issued, the condition will be deleted and the second instalment of the tuition fees (to be paid within 15/05/2021) will be defined based on citizenship or status;
  • if the visa has not been issued, the student’s profile will be closed and a certificate attesting the taken exams, their score and ECTS will be issued upon request. This certificate can be used for credit recognition in other universities or possibly next year;
  • if the visa has not been issued and the student has not taken any exam, a refund of the flat-tax  for enrolment under condition can be requested. Please note that the regional tax for the right to education and the duty stamp (188€) won’t be refundable.
    In order to request the refund, please fill in the attached form and send it via email to  welcome@unive.it.

Tuition fees

Considering the consequences of the pandemic emergency situation, the first instalment of the tuition fees for all non-EU students who require a visa has been exceptionally set to a flat-tax of 500,00 Euros.

Exception: If applicants already hold an Italian visa for study and have been granted a tuition fee waiver at our institution or a MAECI or CRUI scholarship, they should contact us at  welcome@unive.it before paying.

Note: Applicants who are still waiting for their visa and will be enrolled under condition must pay the flat-tax of 500,00 Euros even if they hold one of the above-mentioned statuses. A recalculation will be done at the end of the first semester.

The second instalment will possibly be calculated based on the status of each student and on the due amount of the tuition fees for 2020/2021 academic year, after having verified the issuance of the visa. It will have to be paid within 15th of May 2021.

Credit recognition

You can enroll both in a bachelor’s or a master’s degree program asking for credit recognition of activities already carried out for:

  • another bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or professional master already obtained;
  • unfinished university career because of withdrawal or decay;
  • single courses (outside of a degree scheme);
  • stage/internship/work activity.

Enrollment with credit recognition is not allowed for students currently enrolled in another university programme for which suspension was requested.

Enrollment with credit recognitions is subject to the payment of a fee of €300,00: the invoice for the payment will be generated when enrollment is confirmed.

You don’t need to pay this fee if you request credit recognition for:

  • activities previously accomplished at Ca' Foscari (for example individual courses) if the code of courses corresponds to that of the study plan of the programme you are enrolling into. If the courses aren’t included in the specific study plan and are thus inserted in the free choice courses you will have to pay the 300 Euros fee;
  • transfers from other Universities.

Procedures and deadlines

Credit recognition request must be carried out before enrollment.

For further information on procedures and deadlines, read the section Enrol > Admission > Enrollment with ECTS (European Credit Transfer System Credits) credit recognition of the pages of the specific bachelor’s or master’s degree programs that can be reached through www.unive.it/offertaformativa.
