Enrolment for non-EU students who require a visa

International students enrolling at Ca' Foscari  are defined as prospective or degree-seeking students. On this webpage they will find all the information about enrolment procedures at Ca’ Foscari.

The procedures described here apply only to international students who require a visa for long-term stay in Italy.

They have been defined in compliance with the so-called “Procedures for entry, residency and enrolment of international students and the respective recognition of qualifications, for higher education courses in Italy for the academic year 2023-2024” available at studiare-in-italia.it [ITA].

Citizens from European Union Member States, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and the Swiss Confederation; from the Republic of San Marino and the Holy See; foreigners already officially residing in Italy as expressly indicated in Art. 39, comma 5, of Legislative Decree 286 of 25 July, 1998, must follow procedures and deadlines published on Enrolment for EU students and equivalent.

Double - Joint degree programme applicants should contact  jointdegree@unive.it for more information about enrolment procedures.

More information on selection procedures can be found on the Double - Joint Degrees webpage.

Deadlines, tuition fees and procedures for enrolment

The Welcome Unit is in charge of enrolment procedures for students with an international qualification.

After passing the pre-evaluation procedure through the portal for international students apply.unive.it, applicants who received their letter of enrolment eligibility and who completed the application on Universitaly portal can proceed with the enrolment process.

Once the enrolment procedure has been completed, applicants will become officially Ca' Foscari students and will receive their matriculation number. Although applicants can follow classes without having completed the enrolment procedures, only enrolled students can access university services as well as fill out the study plan and take exams.

Deadlines

The final deadline for enrolment to all bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes at our institution is 19th of December 2023. More information can be found on the dedicated sections below (bachelor’s and master’s degree, procedures for enrolment).

Different deadlines for enrolment applies if future students would like to request the regional scholarship and incentives.

Tuition fees

Considering the long procedures for the visa request, Ca’ Foscari decided to extend the deadline to the 19th of December 2023 for the completion of enrolment procedures for non European students who require a visa.

Due to this extension, the payment schedule of the remaining tuition fees through the academic year has been defined as follows:

  • Second instalment: December 11th 2023
    For students who will pay the first instalment after December 11th, the deadline of the second instalment will be postponed to December 22nd 2023.
  • Third instalment: May 15th 2024
    The amount of this last instalment will be calculated based on the status of each student and on the total amount of tuition fees due for 2023/2024 academic year.

More information on the webpage Tuition fees a.y. 2023/2024 - Bachelor's and Master's Degrees

Important note for regional scholarship applicants: the deadline for first instalment payment is different. More information on the so-called dedicated section above “Deadlines”.

  • unfinished university career because of withdrawal or decay;
  • single courses (outside of a degree scheme);
  • stage/internship/work activity.
