The VERA Centre has its own governance, complementary to the governance of the Department of Economics. The Director, supported by the Management Board members, presents an annual report on the activities of the Centre, the budget and the results achieved, compared to performance indicators, and the future planned actions. The Director is also supported by the person in charge of each research area of the project.

In addition, the governance includes an International Review Board, which has the task to evaluate and verify that research activity is carried out in accordance with ethical principles defined in international and national legislation, and an Advisory Board, which is made up of members who, individually or collectively, will provide independent advice on scientific research lines as well as views and suggestions on the identified actions and new development plans.
