1 May and 2 June: libraries' closing days and opening hours changes

All libraries will be closed on the following days:

  • May 1, 2025
  • June 2, 2025

BAUM will be open on May 3 and 4.
BALI-CFZ will be open on May 2, 3, 4.

BALI (Library of Foreign Languages and Literatures) opens a new venue in San Sebastiano

From April 28, 2025, the East Asian collections (AO), previously housed at Palazzo Vendramin, will be accessible at San Sebastiano. The new library offers more seating, mostly open-shelf collections, and a workshop-style space for seminars and collaborative activities. The 35,000 volumes – rare and valuable works in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Southeast Asian languages – will be arranged across two floors, with course textbooks located in the beautiful, light-filled Sala Colonne-Ruperti on the ground floor.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

Datarepository Unive is the institutional repository that collects, stores, and preserves research data produced by Ca' Foscari researchers: another step forward towards Open Science. With the new repository, researchers and staff will be able to store and make accessible the data produced or used during their research according to the highest international standards and best practices.

Book presentation: "Pianeta Ofelia. Fare Shakespeare nell’Antropocene" by Shaul Bassi

On 6 May 2025 at 5.30 p.m. there will be a presentation of book  "Pianeta Ofelia. Fare Shakespeare nell’Antropocene" (Planet Ofelia. Making Shakespeare in the Anthropocene) by the French psychoanalyst Charles Baudouin. The event, organized by SBA-BALI, DSAAM and DSLCC, will be held at Tesa 2 of BALI-CFZ and is the seventh appointment of the series Leggere un 'Milione' di lingue (Reading a 'Million' of languages).
